The Palmer Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Blooming Grove 34-29. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Palmer of the 46-30 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reagan Davis, who scored eight points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Katie Waddle, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and four blocks.
Even though they lost, Palmer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. This was only their 16th loss (out of 24 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Palmer has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-22 record this season. As for Blooming Grove, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-16.
Palmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Blooming Grove also has no future games currently scheduled.
