After flying high against Heritage  last Wednesday, ThunderRidge came back down to earth. The ThunderRidge Grizzlies took  a  55-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in February of 2024.

ThunderRidge's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Claire Wilson, who  went 5-for-11  on her way to 16  points and five  rebounds. That's the most points  Wilson has posted since back in December of 2024.  Ranya Ettachfini was another key player,  putting up 11  points.
 Even though they lost, ThunderRidge  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain Vista only pulled down three  offensive rebounds.
  Kennedy Spellman was  her usual excellent self,  going 8-for-11 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and five  boards for Mountain Vista. That makes it five consecutive games in which  Spellman has scored at least a third of Mountain Vista's points. Another player making a difference was  Kiarra Spellman, who  put up 11  points.
ThunderRidge now  has a losing record of 10-11. As for Mountain Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
 Coming up, ThunderRidge will venture away from home to  face off against Douglas County  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Mountain Vista, they will welcome Rangeview  at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
