Dos Palos is 9-1 against Firebaugh since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Broncos will take on the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Dos Palos will be strutting in after a victory while Firebaugh will be coming in after a loss.
Dos Palos won the last time they faced Tranquillity and Kodi Gonzales did her part to make sure it happened again. The Broncos blew past the Tigers 3-0 on Thursday with plenty of help from Gonzales, who had 23 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Dos Palos never let Tranquillity on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dos Palos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Yareli Ibarra, who had 15 digs and two aces. Those 15 digs gave Ibarra a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Portillo, who had 17 assists and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Dos Palos was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Firebaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Avenal.
Firebaugh started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 18-25, 25-13, 25-13, 15-10.
Dos Palos' record is now 12-15-1. As for Firebaugh, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.
Everything went Dos Palos' way against Firebaugh in their previous meeting on October 2nd, as Dos Palos made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
