The Avon Panthers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They snuck past Randolph with a 39-35 win. The win was just what Avon needed coming off of a 83-26 loss in their prior matchup.
Hanelie Cadet was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 24 points. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Pierre-Louis, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.
Avon's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Randolph, they bumped their record down to 1-1 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Avon won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Rising Tide at 4:00 p.m. on January 5th. As for Randolph, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carver at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
