The Shaw Cardinals lost against the Lorain Titans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Shaw was outmatched by Lorain on the road and fell 64-14. Shaw has struggled against Lorain recently, as their contest on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Lorain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayla Mosley led the charge by scoring 20 points. The matchup was Mosley's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaida Morales, who scored 14 points.
Shaw's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.4 points per game. As for Lorain, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Shaw will head out on the road to face off against Brush at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Brush is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Lorain will be home for the holidays to greet Euclid at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Euclid will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 551st, while Lorain is ranked 239th).
