Baseball Recap: Win-E-Mac Wins Going Away Against Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal

Win-E-Mac waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal Titans 11-1. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

Braylon Hamre made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Bergen Howard was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Owen Strom, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Win-E-Mac always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Win-E-Mac pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Win-E-Mac will face off against Kelliher/Northome at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal, they will square off against Mahnomen/Waubun at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans have a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with ten straight defeats, while the Thunderbirds will come in with three straight victories.
