After a string of ten wins, the Sheldon Huskies's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a hard 55-39 fall against Jesuit. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sheldon has scored all season.
Sheldon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nicholas Stone, who scored 11 points. Jaden Spears was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Sheldon's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-9. As for Jesuit, they pushed their record up to 20-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Sheldon will take on Cosumnes Oaks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sheldon is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cosumnes Oaks in California (Sheldon is ranked 76th, while Cosumnes Oaks is ranked 322nd). As for Jesuit, they will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jesuit has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 213 points over their last three matches.
