Baseball Recap: Richard Gets the Win

Richard was handed a 15-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Taylor Griffins. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Griffins, too.

Richard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Valatka, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Richard's win bumped their record up to 4-16-1. As for Taylor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richard will head out to challenge Flat Rock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Taylor, they will face off against St. Clair at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
