The Simeon Wolverines will head out to challenge the DePaul College Prep Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Simeon was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Solorio on Monday. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Sun Warriors.
Christian Lott spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. Simeon is undefeated when Lott posts eight or more strikeouts, but 4-8-2 otherwise.

At the plate, Simeon got a massive performance out of Cavion Danley, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave Danley a new career-high. Jaylen Ware was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Simeon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Solorio only posted an OBP of .208.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither DePaul College Prep nor Chicago Hope Academy made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Rams won by a run and slipped past Chicago Hope Academy 3-2.
DePaul College Prep also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Dylan Hecht gave up just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. Hecht has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Quinn Roberts was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Simeon's record is now 7-8-2. As for DePaul College Prep, their record now sits at 16-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Simeon has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like DePaul College Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
