Perrysburg is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Anthony Wayne is on an eight-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Yellow Jackets will host the Generals at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Perrysburg made easy work of Northview and carried off a 12-1 victory.

Maddie Von Sacken made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Kylynn Thomas was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Aly Seuberling, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Perrysburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northview only posted an OBP of .286.
Meanwhile, Anthony Wayne's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They never let Findlay get on the board and left with a 13-0 win.
Casey Lyons looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Megan Sumner was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Gwin, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Perrysburg's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Anthony Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 19-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Perrysburg has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Anthony Wayne struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Perrysburg skirted past Anthony Wayne 4-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Do the Yellow Jackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Generals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
