There's no place like home for the Ajo Red Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They strolled past Harvest Prep Academy with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 48-29.
Despite the loss, Harvest Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Leo Cordova, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That was a full 48.3% of Harvest Prep Academy's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. KJ Legette was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds.
Ajo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Harvest Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ajo will face off against the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 142nd). As for Harvest Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Gila Monsters at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
