Carol City is 1-9 against Central since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Carol City Chiefs will head out on the road to face off against the Central Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Carol City comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 13 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Wednesday, Carol City had to suffer through a rough 49-13 loss at the hands of Edison.
Meanwhile, Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 51-39 to Nova. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central in their matchups with Nova: they've now lost three in a row.
Carol City bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Carol City took their victory against Central when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 51-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carol City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
