White is 8-2 against Sunset since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Longhorns will look to defend their home field against the Bison at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in White's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last ten matchups.
Last Tuesday, White got the win against Molina by a conclusive 20-10. Considering the Longhorns have won 13 contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Whitney Foster was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5.
In other batting news, White got a massive performance out of TJ Alvarado, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Micah Mowles was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
White was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Sunset gave up the first runs last Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on South Oak Cliff with a sharp 13-1 victory. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
White is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.1 runs over those games. As for Sunset, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
Everything went White's way against Sunset in their previous matchup back in March, as White made off with a 17-6 victory. Do the Longhorns have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
