The Kettering Captains lost against the Walled Lake Central Vikings back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Kettering was dealt a 70-28 loss at the hands of the Vikings. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kettering has scored all season.
Kettering lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hunter Jager, who scored six points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Jager grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Nathan Bisnett, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Kettering dropped their record down to 4-11 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Walled Lake Central, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.
Kettering will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. As for Walled Lake Central, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Vikings are ranked 42nd).
