Leonardtown is 9-1 against Patuxent since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Raiders will host the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Leonardtown's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Patuxent has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Leonardtown's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Thomas Stone as they made off with a 22-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won six contests by 14 runs or more so far this season.

Ashley Watson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Vanessa Brooks, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lindsay Hunter, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Leonardtown lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Patuxent). They walked away with an 11-7 win over McDonough on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Like Leonardtown, Patuxent also got a great game from a two-way player: Hannah Bruno. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Bruno was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Rose Harrell was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Kylie Coombs was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Leonardtown's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Patuxent, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
Patuxent's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Leonardtown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .449. It's a different story for Patuxent, though, as they've only averaged .183. Will they be able to contain Leonardtown's hitters?
Everything went Leonardtown's way against Patuxent in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Leonardtown made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
