Kirtland added to the longest winning streak in Chagrin Valley - Valley this week by beating Berkshire, 54-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Kirtland took down the Badgers 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sam Skiljan threw for 83 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 59 yards in the win.
Cardinal's dynamic duo of Justin McClain and KC Cress proved tough for Harding to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. McClain threw for 210 yards and 3 touchdowns and Cress had 108 yards receiving. Cody Purpura helped Cardinal's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 50 yards.
He went 11-14 with 0 interceptions.
Kirtland's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Skiljan has thrown for 840 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Ryan Loncar has 16 catches for 367 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Newbury takes on Berkshire. The Black Knights are in fourth place, while Josh DeWeese's team is in third place.
Tiger (Phillip) Laverde's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on the Badgers. Skiljan ran for 59 yards during the win.
