The Southeast Halifax Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 47-31 fall against Tarboro. Southeast Halifax lost against Tarboro in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 74-43 score last time.
Despite the loss, Southeast Halifax still got an impressive performance from Kemorriya Evans, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Southeast Halifax's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Tarboro, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast Halifax and North Edgecombe will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in North Edgecombe's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Southeast Halifax has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. As for Tarboro, they will challenge Bertie at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bertie is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
