The Castlewood Warriors will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Iroquois/Lake Preston at 6:15 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Castlewood is ranked 92nd, while Iroquois/Lake Preston is ranked 68th).
Castlewood suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Colman-Egan by a score of 39-37.
Despite the defeat, Castlewood got a solid performance out of Gracie Haug, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Iroquois/Lake Preston, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-46 loss to James Valley Christian on Thursday. Iroquois/Lake Preston has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Castlewood dropped their record down to 5-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Iroquois/Lake Preston, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Castlewood took their win against Iroquois/Lake Preston in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 56-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Castlewood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
