The St. Mary's Academy Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Arrupe Jesuit Generals at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Arrupe Jesuit will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Wednesday, St. Mary's Academy didn't have too much trouble with Eagle Ridge Academy on the road as they won 44-26. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Mary's Academy.
St. Mary's Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isabel Hernandez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hernandez has scored all season. Aleena Nauman was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Arrupe Jesuit's 17-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They lost to Forge Christian at home by a decisive 60-44 margin on Wednesday.
St. Mary's Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-6.
