Basketball Recap: Berean Christian Skates Past Village Academy with Ease

Berean Christian won the last time they faced Village Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Berean Christian Bulldogs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Village Academy Tigers 68-10. The match marked the Bulldogs' most dominant victory of the season.

Berean Christian found their leader in freshman Matthew Wall, who went 10 of 15 on his way to 23 points and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Wall. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Maldonado, who posted ten points and four steals.

Berean Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Berean Christian moved to 5-8 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Village Academy, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Berean Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-37 defeat against Morningside Academy on the 9th. As for Village Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 58-18 loss against Dreyfoos School of the Arts on the 9th.
