The Sebastopol Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Hamilton Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sebastopol is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Sebastopol had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Bruce at home to the tune of 42-14. Considering Sebastopol has won seven contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jake Kimble and Tyler Perkins were among the main playmakers for Sebastopol as the former rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry and the latter rushed for 213 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry. Perkins was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards.
Meanwhile, Hamilton entered their tilt with O'Bannon with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Hamilton blew past O'Bannon, posting a 52-12 victory at home.
Justin Verner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while also throwing for 122 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Trent Jones also helped out as he racked up 106 rushing yards.
Their wins bumped Sebastopol to 10-1 and Hamilton to 6-5.
Sebastopol couldn't quite finish off Hamilton when the teams last played back in November of 2022 and fell 33-30. Can Sebastopol avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
