Evans waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Simpson Broncos with a sharp 15-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Evans pushed their record up to 5-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Simpson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Evans will take on Hornbeck at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Simpson, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Oakdale on the 22nd.
