The biggest upset of the week belonged to Spring Grove, who took down 82nd ranked Central York, 41-34.
The Rockets moved up to 163 from 227 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in York-Adams I. A 41-34 win over the Panthers helped Spring Grove improve its standing.
Central York's dynamic duo of Corey Hartz and Marquis Fells proved tough for Russ Stoner's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hartz threw for 258 yards and four touchdowns and Fells had 97 yards receiving. Darian Hampton helped Central York's passing attack out by catching four balls for 67 yards.
Dillon Thomas was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 172 yards as South Western lost to the Rockets. Brady Shultz also contributed to the rushing game with nine yards on the ground.
The Panthers' Hartz and Fells have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hartz has thrown for 1206 yards this season, while Fells, a 5-foot-7 receiver, has 22 catches for 495 yards. The Mustangs' Thomas leads the league in rushing yards with 829.
A big matchup in York-Adams I this week will be when Central York takes on South Western. At the moment, the Panthers are in fourth, while Damian Poalucci's team is in second.
There should be lots of points scored when Central York and the Mustangs face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Panthers comes in having scored 180 this season, while South Western has scored 169. Central York scored 34 points last week as it fell to Spring Grove.
William Penn took down Red Lion 34-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
