The University Christian Christians will face off against the Treasure Coast Titans at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (University Christian 3.1, Treasure Coast 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Monday, University Christian needed a bit of extra time to put away St. Petersburg Catholic. They won by a run and slipped past the Barons 4-3.
Lukas Brougham looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Bryson Harnage was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Bo Wilson was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Treasure Coast). They put the hurt on IMG Academy Navy with a sharp 13-2 win on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Titans with their most commanding win of the season.
The team relied heavily on Thomas Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jacob Sanchez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Treasure Coast kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.4.
Treasure Coast's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6. As for University Christian, their record now sits at 8-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. University Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Treasure Coast struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
