If the Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors were riding high off their 44-14 takedown of the Alliance Christian Gryphons last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Dayspring Christian Academy fell 43-32 to the Eagles on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dayspring Christian Academy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Dayspring Christian Academy had strong showings from Miracle Johnsons, who scored nine points along with eight blocks, and Noah Huxta, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Kauffman, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Lititz Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Kriebel, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Kriebel is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elijah Antes, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
Dayspring Christian Academy now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Lititz Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dayspring Christian Academy will take on the at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
