The Tabb Tigers were the 53-40 winner over the Warhill Lions when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Tabb fell 57-47 to Warhill on Wednesday. Tabb has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Tabb lost, one person who can't be blamed is Landon Powell. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with four steals. Powell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Siegel, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Tabb has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Warhill, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tabb will take on Poquoson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poquoson comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Warhill, they will head out on the road to challenge Bruton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bruton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matches.
