Wyoming extended the longest winning streak in Cincinnati Hills this week by beating Taylor, 28-27. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Mariemont took down Deer Park 63-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ryden Lewis ran for 155 yards and caught one passes for seven yards in the win.
The Warriors' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Matt Stewart threw for 72 and one touchdown and Zak Jancek had 39 yards receiving. David Cowart helped Mariemont's passing attack out by catching three balls for 26 yards.
Luke Parker made the biggest impact on defense this week as Mariemont defeated the Wildcats. The 5-foot-8 junior pulled down two interceptions.
Wyoming's Will Marty and Ben Kurtz have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Marty has thrown for 1590 yards this season, while Kurtz, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 43 catches for 765 yards. Nick Jones from Tom Crosby's team leads the league in rushing with 626 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Aaron Hancock's team takes on the Warriors. The Cowboys are currently in second, while Mariemont is in third.
There should be lots of points scored when Wyoming and the Warriors face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Cowboys comes in having scored 208 this season, while Mariemont has scored 155. Wyoming scored 28 points last week as it topped the Yellowjackets.
The Warriors made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,028 from 7,191. The advance stemmed from a 63-14 victory over Deer Park last week.
