Madden Collins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 of 13 en route to 22 points along with seven boards and five assists. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Dacen Petty, who posted 17 points and five rebounds.
Christ School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Knightdale strolled past East Wake with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 62-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.
Knightdale's win came from a few key players Christ School will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Isaiah Green, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 36 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zarion Williams, who had eight points along with 16 boards and six blocks.
Christ School's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points per game. As for Knightdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's contest: Christ School has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 38.1% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Knightdale, though, as they've only made 28.6% of their three-pointers this season. Given Christ School's sizable advantage in that area, Knightdale will need to find a way to close that gap.
