Galva's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Blake Stahl, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Stahl scored a full 39% of Galva's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter DeVenney, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Cuba/Spoon River Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Galva, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cuba/Spoon River Valley will face off against Illini Bluffs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Galva, they will head out on the road to face off against Orion at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
