The East Tartans lost against the Clay Panthers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. East fell 34-23 to Clay. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for East in their matchups with Clay: they've now lost five in a row.
Clay's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Emnett, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sophia Craft, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
East has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Clay, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.
