The Escambia Academy Cougars put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 83-31 win over Sparta Academy at home. Considering Escambia Academy has won five matchups by more than 44 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
When it comes to explaining why Sparta Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Logan Robinson. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Robinson scored a full 48.4% of Sparta Academy's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Escambia Academy pushed their record up to 6-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Sparta Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Escambia Academy will take on Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sparta Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Monroe Academy at 7:00 p.m.
