The New York School for the Deaf Golden Tornadoes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 48-24 walloping at the hands of Lexington School for the Deaf. New York School for the Deaf has not had much luck with Lexington School for the Deaf recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
It was another big night for Hunter Larsen, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds for Lexington School for the Deaf. The matchup was Larsen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Irnaldo Valle-Castillo, who scored 14 points.
New York School for the Deaf bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Lexington School for the Deaf, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New York School for the Deaf is on the road again on Thursday and play against Katzenbach School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on December 21st. Lexington School for the Deaf will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Varsity Opponent at 5:45 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
