Denmark has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Denmark will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Foxes are ranked 33rd).
On Monday, Denmark came up short against the Panthers and fell 67-54.
Meanwhile, Fox Valley Lutheran entered their tilt with the Tigers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Fox Valley Lutheran walked away with a 69-57 win over the Tigers on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Denmark's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Fox Valley Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Denmark couldn't quite finish off the Foxes in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 and fell 59-56. Can Denmark avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
