The Southeast Seminoles lost against the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Southeast was dealt a 56-21 defeat at the hands of the Mustangs. Southeast has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Seminoles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Azharia Jones, who scored six points.
Southeast's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-17. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.0 points per game. As for Lakewood Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.
Southeast is on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Palmetto presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Seminoles in Florida (the Tigers are ranked 254th, while the Seminoles are ranked 522nd). As for Lakewood Ranch, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Manta Rays at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Lemon Bay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday.
