Riverton is 0-8 against Lehi since April of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Silverwolves will square off against the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Riverton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Cedar Valley as they made off with a 15-3 win. The Silverwolves' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Boston Hatch tossed a big game, tossing 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Bryce Mounteer was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Brayden Gillespie was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Riverton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lehi entered their tilt with Davis on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Darts 15-3.
Sean McAfee looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Murphy Madsen was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jake Welch, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Riverton's record now sits at 19-8. As for Lehi, their record is now 16-10.
Lehi's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Riverton has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Lehi, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Riverton's sizable advantage in that area, the Pioneers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Riverton couldn't quite get it done against Lehi in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Silverwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
