The Central Valley Falcons lost against the Lassen Grizzlies back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Central Valley took a serious blow against Lassen, falling 41-6. Central Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Lassen found their leader in underclassman Dathen Moore, who rushed for 149 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. Deshon Moore was another key contributor, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Central Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lassen, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Valley will take on University Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in University Prep's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last eight matchups. As for Lassen, they will be playing at home against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
