Enka is 2-8 against the Rams since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Enka Jets will head out on the road to challenge the T.C. Roberson Rams at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Enka focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Enka was the victim of a tough 78-53 loss at the hands of the Rockets.
Enka's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Logan Trantham, who scored 29 points, and Sam Waddell who scored 18 points. That was a full 34% of Enka's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, T.C. Roberson waltzed into their game on Thursday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They came out on top against A.C. Reynolds by a score of 55-48.
Max McDowell was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of T.C. Roberson's points. Another player making a difference was Jacob McGraw, who scored 12 points.
Enka's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for T.C. Roberson, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Enka have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like T.C. Roberson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.8 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Enka was taken down by the Rams 79-49 in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of McDowell, who scored 27 points along with five assists and three steals. Now that Enka knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
