There's no place like home for the More Cavaliers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 39-22 victory over Winner on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as More also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Winner had strong showings from Adysen Pravecek, who scored six points, and Keelie Kuil, who scored two points along with four steals. Kuil is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Winner struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
More's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Winner, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.
More will face off against the Trojans at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Worthington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 216th in Minnesota, while the Cavaliers are ranked 48th in South Dakota). As for Winner, they will be playing at home against the Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
