Plano and Coppell are an even 2-2-2 against one another since January of 2021, but likely not for long. The Plano Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Coppell Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plano will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Coppell is ranked 23rd).
Plano fell victim to Marcus' stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were the victim of a rough 3-0 loss at the hands of the Marauders. Plano has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Coppell kept a clean sheet against Hebron on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Hawks.
Plano has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5-4 record this season. As for Coppell, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-4.
Plano suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Coppell when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Plano avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
