Staunton took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Waynesboro, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Storm sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Little Giants on Tuesday. For the Storm, this counts as revenge for the 9-2 win the Little Giants walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Zack Hinkle was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season. Nick Bishop was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Staunton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Staunton's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Waynesboro, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6.
