Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Delavan-Darien Comets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Comets this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  3-0  loss  on Thursday.
 Among those leading the charge was   Delaney Stallings, who  had 12  digs and two  aces.
Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Delavan-Darien, their victory bumped their record up to 19-12.
 Coming up, Monroe will head out to  challenge Jefferson  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Delavan-Darien, they have already played their next match,  a  2-0  win against Big Foot on the 11th.
