There's no place like home for the Hudson Blue Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against Chatham by a score of 49-38 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Hudson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Hudson found their leader in underclassman Malia Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Jackson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Gabriella Logue, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Chatham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Hudson will head out on the road to face off against Taconic Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chatham, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Ichabod Crane at 6:30 p.m.
