The Hillcrest Knights entered their tilt with the Idaho Falls Tigers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Hillcrest took their contest on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 90-40 win over Idaho Falls. With Hillcrest ahead 58-23 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was another big night for Talan Taylor, who went 8 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 4 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Ike Sutton was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven assists.
Idaho Falls' loss came despite strong showings from Bradley Elison and Makai Ferguson. Elison scored 17 points, while Ferguson scored 11 points.
Idaho Falls struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Hillcrest racked up 24 assists.
Hillcrest pushed their record up to 8-6 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for Idaho Falls, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Hillcrest will be playing in front of their home fans against Shelley at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shelley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Hillcrest is ranked 13th). As for Idaho Falls, they will head out on the road to face off against Thunder Ridge at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.
