Pendleton County's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Tucker County with a sharp 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcat, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Baylee Beachler was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avery Townsend, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 games. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Petersburg, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.
