Abington Friends scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Shipley 75-57. The victory was just what Abington Friends needed coming off of a 85-51 defeat in their prior match.
When it comes to explaining why Shipley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Will Littles, Jr. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Littles, Jr has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Matt Lange, who scored 14 points.
Abington Friends' victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Shipley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Abington Friends does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shipley will head out on the road to take on the Red Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Pennington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the in their respective states (the Red Raiders are ranked 16th in New Jersey, while the are ranked 400th in Pennsylvania).
