The Avon Grove Charter Wolves suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 89-51 defeat at the hands of Tri-State Christian. Avon Grove Charter has not had much luck with Tri-State Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Avon Grove Charter's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Xavier London, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds, and Ayub Massaquoi who scored 11 points.
Tri-State Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Sartin out in front who scored 33 points along with two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Falko, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Avon Grove Charter has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Tri-State Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
Avon Grove Charter on the road again on Monday and play against Fellowship of Christian Athletes at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Tri-State Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Calvary Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Calvary Christian Academy is ranked 57th in Delaware, while Tri-State Christian is ranked 62nd in Maryland).
