Mount Carmel extended the longest winning streak in Chicago Catholic - Blue this week by beating Downers Grove North, 7-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Loyola Academy took down Maine South 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
St. Rita's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. TOMMY MISTER threw for 92 and 2 touchdowns and MALIK SPACE had 58 yards receiving. On the ground D.J. MILES chipped in 117 yards. JULIAN CRUM helped St. Rita's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 17 yards.
SPACE was the best wideout in the league this week as the Mustangs topped De La Salle. SPACE racked up 3 receptions for 58 yards. CRUM helped St. Rita's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 17 yards.
St. Rita's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. MISTER has thrown for 1,088 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while CRUM has 22 catches for 495 yards. MISTER also leads the league in rushing with 1,474 yards.
St. Rita led Chicago Catholic - Blue in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on the Meteors. MISTER ran for 101 yards during the win.
