A well-balanced attack led the Mansfield Christian Flames over the Grove City Christian Eagles in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Everything went Mansfield Christian's way against the Eagles as the Flames made off with a 60-34 win. Mansfield Christian pushed the score to 51-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.
Grove City Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Karlich, who scored seven points.
The win makes it two in a row for Mansfield Christian and bumps their season record up to 9-5. As for Grove City Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
Mansfield Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Genoa Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Grove City Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Columbus Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
