The Olean Huskies will be playing at home against the Fredonia Hillbillies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Olean was handed a 38-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Allegany-Limestone on Tuesday. Olean skirted past Allegany-Limestone 46-43. The win was just what Olean needed coming off of a 73-35 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Fredonia waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 77-61 victory over Salamanca. The win was all the more spectacular given Fredonia's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Salamanca is ranked 89th).
Fredonia had a senior duo take command as Mike Hahn shot 7-for-9 from deep and dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds and Davion White scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hahn has scored all season. Luca Gullo was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Olean's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Fredonia, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Olean skirted past Fredonia 51-48 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Olean have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fredonia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
