Georgia Christian dropped down to 5-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 34-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles. The Generals lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 36-8 score last time.
As for Sherwood Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0. Those 34 points were actually the fewest they have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Tripp Roberts had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 173 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 149 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chuck Lagrange, who gained 138 total yards and a touchdown.
Georgia Christian and Sherwood Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games.
